Credit Card Changes
Just think of the ways that we use credit cards, and the cost associated with that use. Credit card companies have been bilking consumers for a very long time. In most recent years it has gotten much worse than 30 or 40 years ago. Today there are devious methods that increase the cost to the consumer for the privilege of using a convenient credit card.
However, things are about to change for the better, at least temporarily. The new laws that are being pushed through Congress and Senate will curtail some of the practices of the banks and credit card companies, like raising interest rates so that their top management can take a more elaborate incentive trip. It is estimated that the banks will reduce their cumulative income from this legislation by about $50 million.
But the banks are not about to just give up money without a fight. Be sure that they will find new ways to legally extract even more money from the unsuspecting consumer.
